 Today I did another task i got to make things put of paper by watching a tutorial on how to make them. I decided to make a paper cup it was fun and a little hard bit it was fun I colored it in and did my own desing here is a video so  you can try.

 Today I did another task I had to read a story called  Hana koko. After we finished reading  the story we had to create a different costume for Santa because he always weirs the same thing\Nice and warm clothes. It was fun to look at different clothes I had to write what my clothes were called and write what I was inspired by and why I included those clothes. here is my work.

 Today I did another Summer learning journey task I had to search up a image and write a song about the image. I chose a image of a medal because I had a cool idea to write about achieving and when you achieve you win awards so my song is obviously my song is about achieving here is my work.

 Today I did a task for the Slj which is the summer learning journey. I had to make sentience's with the te reo words that were already there. I had to listen to a couple of audios and figure out where goes where. It was a bit hard but i still tried.  I also had to finish the sentences  here is my work.

End of the year reflection

Today is the last day of school for 2020  we come back  in 2021  i'm so excited because i'm in the same homeroom  as Lyndora and Bailee. Its sad because  two of the teachers are leaving Miss Williamson  and Kahu 😭😭😭😭.  But they said they will come visit  us when they have time.  My most favorites thing  about this year had to be camp because we got to learn new things and get to now people better. Last week we had top team my group did pretty good but we didn't come 3d 2nd or 1st  but that's ok it was all about fun.   That's my reflection of 2020.

Slide turn and flip work sheet

Hi reader!

 Last week we learnt about slide,turn and flip. We had to cut out letters and put them into a slide a turn and a flip the letters I got is A,N,G I had to slide the A turn the N and flip the G. It was a little hard when I first tried it but then i have gotten better at it. i learnt that slide is the same and turn is when it turns around so its a lying down N and I learnt that flip is when it just around too the other side. here is my work.

 Today in inquiry we did a slide we had to write down things that can pollute the beach and other thing. Then we had to drag a box into the right side it was hard i don't know if i got them all right but yeah here is my work. look down

Dlo wasps

 Today in reading we had to do a dlo we had to write down what to do when you get sting from a wasps and what to do if you see a wasp hive or a wasps. I did i biteable i learnt that there are heaps of options for the back round here is my work. The book is called stung and its based on a friend.

Land pollution

 Today in inquiry we moved onto a new part which is land pollution first we got into buddies and write down causes of non land pollution and natural pollution. Then we moved on to are work we had to write down causes and then write down what it does to harm ;and pollution here is my work.

Cats should be allowed outside.

In the past two days we were writing about persuasive writing persuasive writing is a conving writing its when you try to convince someone to do that or this. we were writing about cats should either stay inside or say that they are allowed outside here is my writing.

I strongly think that  cats should not be kept inside  because of many reasons.

Firstly, they won’t break anything because outside is a clear open space. Also they will like to have a big space to run around outside. They would like to meet other cats in the neighborhood. Cats would also like to have a big run around and if they're inside then they will break things. Cats run many kilometres everyday. They like to play and be free with a big space to run around. They will have more room than inside the house. If they are inside they will break things, But if they are outside they will not break anything. 

Also if they are outside then they will like to put their paws in the wet grass and they will find it relaxing.Also they like to play with other cats because if they don’t play with other cats they won’t   get used to it, It will make them timid and shy, If they see another cat  they will try and fight them. That's why they need cats to meet other cats so they're not so shy when they see each other.

Also it will be more tidy outside because if they are inside they will break everything like carpet, curtain and furniture with their claws and teeth. If you have long curtains they cats would love hanging from them. You will keep having to waste your money on new furniture. The cats won't stop reeking furniture.

That's why we should keep cats outside. Let's change the cat's life and let them be in their own habitat. There might be dead birds but that's what cats do and we can’t do anything to change their lives like we can’t do anything to change our lives.

Athletics day

 Today in athletics we split into are age groups and then we got told where we were going we had high jump i didn't make height but i just liked trying it because the poll reminded me of MacDonald haha because it was red and yellow. After that we did discus. I was ok at it but i still tried.  Then we did long distance we had to run 5 laps it was hard we got a little arguing but that's that. Then we had lunch and did other stuff like long jump,fun relay and shot put then we had to finish of work it was a very bust day today.

Ban Plastic straws writing.

For the past week we have been doing persuasive writing the first wring we had to do was convincing to wear mufti instead of school uniform mostly everybody chose to wear mufti i chose to keep wearing school uniforms. this week we had to put reading and writing together so my group is convincing people to ban plastic straws here is my writing to convince people to ban plastic straws.

Ban plastic straws

In my opinion I think plastic straws should be banned because they harm animals' lives. Sea animals aren’t living as long as other animals. It will also pollute the ocean and kill the animals. The plastic is taking over the ocean and soon there will be more plastic than fish.

By the way don’t throw rubbish away or in the sea  because it can get stuck up animal noses like turtle noses and it hurts. It also harms the earth and remember that we only have one earth so make sure we take care of it. It can also get caught around the animal's neck. They will think it's jellyfish and try to eat it.

Did you know people can die from burning fossil fuels? It will be worse if people have hay fever because it will be hard for them to breathe and they might choke. It can even hurt people without hay fever because it goes into your mouth and it's really hard to breathe.

Lets BAN plastic straws now, let's also help the sea animals. Don’t forget the EARTH! If we don’t act quick it will take over the whole entire earth. It also harms the world like corona is harming the earth. Let's start picking up rubbish instead of chucking it away.

For the last few weeks we have been designing dot art we drew light lines before we started to pain to that we knew where to put are dots. We were only aloud to use 5 or 4 colors only. We used the end of a cotton bud to do are dots. It took me about a week and a half to finish after we were finished we had to take a picture and put it on our blog here is my art.

Student summit

 Today a few people got to do a hangout we had to first group do pick a path i learnt so much  the presenters were Tovie  and Jahnaleigh. When me a phoebe  did it we where very scared and there was about 48 people in the chat. Me and Phoebe did bite able one of us was talking and the other was checking if peoples question.  Thank you Miss Morgan and miss mclelland. 

 Tovies and janaleighs taught me  how to use pick a path i had to make a copy of the work and we had to write the introduction and the 2  options to find the owner. I might use this for my learning to teach someone else and to get better at it.

Assembly awards

Today in school we had assembly but we only had it in our class because of corona virus the teachers were very excited ascetically Miss McLeod because she had a fun job of handing out the certificate and rice bands here are the award i got a wristband, certificate and I got to clap for the people who got a library badge. Today miss Jones class did a play in reading we had to  be in groups for the book we had to have 5 people in it but we had 6 because there were 5 characters but someone had too do the seance. The play was called Mum for sale it and the others plays are the royal breakfast, Santa trap, Toi and the other birds i liked the Santa trap one because the people who were acting the play were very serious and funny.

Distance Writing Book Week 5

Today in writing in the first couple of weeks we made a copy of a slide show it was very fun the first one we did life in our bubble we had to write thing we did in lock down or what happen we had to do it in alphabetical order. The next thing we had to do we had to control c then control v to make more copies of  a text box we had to make ha few  boxes we had to make as much boxes as much people we have in our house and family we had to write their name at the top of the text and write something about them. then we had couplet the other slides here are my slides.

Today in math

Today for math we started with a quiz the quiz was how well do we know our time when we finished the quiz we played a game of bingo it was fun i got 5  coverd but the thing is we didnt play with numbers we played with clock so miss Jones called out  times and we had to cover them up here is some pictures of our bingo game.

Ice Hockey

Today we red a story about ice hockey we had to answer the questions next to the text we had to answer 10 questions, i thought i did pretty good at what i got  before i tell you what i got i will tell you what we had to do first  when everyone was finished reading the text we had to start answering the questions after we finished  answering the question miss Jones did a run through the answer  here is what we did i got 9 out of 10.

Memoirs of a Hamster

Today for reading we had to go onto epic and read a book called Memoirs of a Hamster in the  story there was a hamster,cat,dog and the oners first we started with reading the story and after we had red the story we had to do the quiz which was a little bit easy but mostly fun the quiz was about  the story so  we had to answer the questions and that's why we had to listen to the story very carefully do you have epic? and what do you like about it? here i my score.

AW Time in 5 Minute Intervals

Today for maths we started with a game called bingo, bingo is a game when you have a board with 9 numbers on it but instead of numbers we used clocks because we are learning to tell the time on clocks when we finished that game the teacher showed as where to find the link for are google slides we had to click on it and it would take us to the slides in the slides there were examples of clock we had to go on the teaching clock so we could do the same time but not the same time the teacher did we had to move the hand on the clock to  match the time  but in a different time so for example the teacher would screenshot 2 o clock so we had to do a different o'clock and we couldn't do the same as the teacher here are the slides comment if i got any wrong and tell me which one.

Reading

Today for reading we had to read a poem and answer the questions next to it the poem was about an invisible dragon we had to answer the question and at the end we had to push submit so the teacher could see it  when every one was done we went through all the answers together i got 7 out of 8 it was pretty good because i only got one wrong here is the poem we had to read.

Today for writing we started quality blog post I had to blog about the things i had to finish or haven't blogged yet i was a bit behind every one so i got to skip task one and got to task 2 which was finishing blog posts i finished blogging my reading game.

today i played a reading game it is called audio word match its a similar game to memory if you don't know what memory is its a game with card first you have to face all the cards upside down  and then you have to flip two card and if you get the same looking card for example if you get two jokers then you get  match  but this memory is on the computer for reading it the same rules it will time you and count how many you got and if you don't get a math your card will have to stay there but if you get  the same exact card they go away here ae some pictures of the game and the link if you ant to play it.

Today for reading we had to read a story called Fred the Firefighter it was about a fire fighter rescuing a cat stuck in a tree. after we red the story we had to answer the question next to it. when we finished answering the question miss Jones went threw the question with us so we new if we got it wrong or right  here is what i had to read and answer. please comment your answers.

Matching the Time - To the Hour

Today for math Miss Jones is math group had to mach the time to the clock first we had to make as copy and put it into our math folder. Then  we got started first we had to get the line so we could  draw it across to the right clock so it matches. I got stated I matched the first one and keeped going and going until i finished matching all the clock to the times here is my work.
