Maori objects in our classroom

every Wednesday we do something in Te reo Maori this is what we did on google slides.                        I had to make a google slide to show The different conversations you might use in the classrooms.

Flower festival.

few the couple of weeks  we have been doing a flower cooperation we had to finish are drawing of are flower. we got to make a destitution of making a paper  flower or a sand saucer with flowers in it. here is what we did today.

Halloween brain teaser.

Today we did a Halloween brain teaser.

How many people are at the Halloween party?

There are more than 15 and less than 25.
if we play a game with teams of 3 there will be people 2 people left out.

If we play a game with teams 4.
there would be 3 people left out.

And this is how we worked it out.

Our trip to the Marae

Today in the morning we went on a trip to a Marae. We had to ride on a bus, the seats on the bus where comfortable and cozy I nearly fell a sleep because it is a long way to get there. Then we arrived at the marae the person who worked there introduce her self and taught some of us Maori words but I already new them. She asked for a male volunteer to be are chief.  Then they slowly walked us in. two men where standing up across the fence looking spooky. They oped the gate and the they did a haka  and one of the leaders for the haka gave the chief a leaf and did a funny dance back or it was apart of the haka. It was fun going to the marae because The ladies taught us to do poi. Which was fun. They also told us a story of how Maori found his mum and dad. it was funny because Maori was chasing his mum around and hid he clothes.

For the few couple of weeks we have been learning Maori colors we made google slides to put the colors in we got images with  the color that matches the Maori color here is mine.

a moment in time

 In school for a few weeks miss mcleods writing group has been writing about a moment in time we where making sick sentences better by adding detail and wow words hear is my writing. Brrrm, brrrm went the motorbikes as they quickly passed by.

The riders held on very tightly to the grips.the motorbikes Bolted up the hill.as the dust raised in the air and hit the riders eyes the rider felt proud of their self.

As the riders raced they felt the sweat running through there suit.the riders can feel the dust swooping around them.The riders can see the bumpy  dusty track in front of them.They can hear there sweat dripping down their face. They might be thinking there going to win the race . they are having fun  and trying their best and give it ago.I wonder if they will run out of gas.can you give me some feed back?
